EYE STRAIN (OR ASTHENOPIA)

c                  Asthenopia, or more commonly referred to as eye strain is a

                                                        visual condition that manifests itself in a variety of ways. Most

                                                        commonly patients with asthenopia experience ocular fatigue or pain

                                                        around the eyes, blurred vision, headaches and occasional double

                                                         vision.

​                                                        Asthenopia is often related to arduous near-point work. Upon examination, we find most patients have some degree of uncorrected refractive error, binocular vision disorder or a focusing insufficiency.
